Preparation for Content Plan

In previous post we learned what is content plan.
Today we will see, which steps you should to make.

Planning helps you save time, optimize information, just plan your posts and do nothing learn more in free time.

1. What is your blog/text/product about?
Here you need to decide, what topics you have to add, which themes to develop.

2. Segment your audience.
Which content will great for this segment, what answers it will give these peoples. How it can help, come up with titles of questions.

Some people love great images, some of them - funny video, another - just long text.
Try to take into account the interests of all parties and cover the maximum number of people.

3. Content type.
Here you need to test, which format you should to use more, in that proportion.

For example, try to combine these type of content in three months:
- useful: tips, recipes, instructions - 30%
- entertaining: memes, video - 20%
- involving: polls, competitions, discussions - 20%
- image: reviews, case studies, opinions - 20%
- advertising: news, giveaways, offers of goods - 10%

4. Analyze competitors and leaders in your industry.
Look at what and how your competitors write, what records are more popular. Pay attention to what the leaders of other industries are doing, look at their formats. Learn how often other brands publish records, analyze publications on the likes, coverage, reposts, the number of comments.

5. How much posts?
Before you start planning posts decide how much you need to write, how many photos, videos, and more. Evaluate your capabilities.
For me is simple text in the blog every day is ok. But if you are big and informational company, maybe it will be better to write 1-3 posts per week.
Experiment and analyze.

6. Which time?
This question is important for social publications actually. Instagram or Facebook. Where there is a lot of other authors who make posts too. Text blog is the place where people go regardless of time - because they like it or because google finds your site useful and gives a link to it.
But for social yes, for different categories of users the mode of the day is different. And the activity differs.
Plan your posts for evening time when people come from work or in the morning when they prepare, read news and so on. Try to find your best time but don't stop to test more.
And remember that some social networks implemented an algorithmic tape, so maybe the question of time is not so decisive.

7. Find themes.
Go to the keyword planner and find your main keyword.
Then the service will show you more results, related to it. And you can use these keywords for making new posts.
Another way is to go to the forums and find, what people ask, what answer they need.

Then publish, look at the numbers and analyze.
Don't stop to analyze and test everything.
